Today I received all of Wave 20 from Amazon. I started with the figure I know the least about, Hercules.
I feel I have a pretty good grasp of Greek mythology, but I don't know how much of that translated into Marvel comics.
I have never read or seen anything with Marvel's Hercules. Apparently he showed up in the conclusion of World War Hulk, but I must not have read that far.
Marvel Universe Wave 8 Juggernaut |
Overall, I like the figure quite a bit! He's articulate, sculpted quite well, and includes his (apparently) trademark mace.
Marvel Universe Comic Pack Wave 13 Colossus |
I really don't have any complaints, it's pretty solid.
Marvel Universe Wave 12 World War Hulk |
He also holds other weapons very easily. I'm impressed.
I got the idea from a fellow blogger. Check out his post here!
Thor Series Frost Giant |
DC Injustice Solomon Grundy |
Marvel Universe Wave 2 Hulk |
Overall, it's a great figure. I'm not entirely sure I would recommend it to the average Marvel fan, as I don't really know what he does in the universe, but I'll look into it.
I'll probably end up using him with fantasy figure like the knights from Army of Darkness or Hobbit figures. He will fit in quite well fighting orcs and the undead.

Herc to me is basically a mini-MotUC figure. He's got all the articulation you could want. You just need to find heads that fit proportionally to his body.
ReplyDeleteThe Avengers movie line Ultimates comic series Thor works pretty good on this body.
Wow, not sure how a reviewer wouldn't know Marvel Hercules. Not insulting, just very surprised. "He apparently showed up after World War Hulk"??? LOL! Herc has been around for decades man. His somewhat friendly rivalry with Marvel Thor is great Marvel history. Hercules is basically a less serious, Thor, with a sense of humor. A very good character idea with his boozing and womanizing ways.
ReplyDeleteI'm very aware Hercules has been around for decades, but I have never had the fortune of reading anything featuring him.
DeleteI know who he is, I just know very little about him. What series featuring Hercules would you recommend?
