New James Bond on Netflix, One Month Only!

If my count it right, it appears twelve James Bond titles were added to Netflix last Monday the 1st and appear to be expiring on May 1st.

Dr. No (1962)

Dr. No is the first official James Bond film and introduced so many iconic Bond things, notably the gun barrel sequence.  The film itself should be watched by any Bond fan, as it is the original.  Critically, the movie didn't do that well, but general audiences loved it.  Definitely worth watching.  Expires on May 1st.

Goldfinger (1964)

Goldfinger is the third James Bond film, making it Sean Connery's third film as well.  This film introduced signature gadgets.  Oddjob also in this movie, the famous hat throwing henchman parodied in Austin Powers as Randomtask.  Also stars Pussy Galore!  Critically acclaimed, won an Academy Award, and was a massive financial success!  Expires on May 1st.

You Only Live Twice (1967)

You Only Live Twice is the fifth Bond film, so also the fifth Sean Connery film.  Loosely based on the novel of the same name, and it was the first Bond film to be released over the summer.  Austin Power's main nemesis, Dr. Evil, gets his inspiration from this film.  Expires on May 1st.

Live and Let Die (1973)

This is the eighth Bond film and first to star Roger Moore.  This is my personal favorite Bond film, I just love everything about this movie!  I really like exploitation films, and this film kind of has a blaxploitation things to it.  It is very cliche, but I think that is why I like it much. As it seems with most Bond films, mixed reviews but a box office success either way.  Expires on May 1st.

The Spy Who Loved Me (1977)

The Spy Who Loved Me is the tenth Bond film, and third with Roger Moore.  This film has some very well done special effects, and was even nominated for three Academy Awards in 1977.  This film grossed over seven times its budget.  Expires May 1st.

For Your Eyes Only (1981)

The twelve James Bond film and fifth Roger Moore film, For Your Eyes Only attempted to ground the series after the science-fiction themed Moonraker.  The film is a pretty decent one, it has some really neat underwater effects and is filmed all over the Mediterranean sea.Expires on May 1st.

Octopussy (1983)

Octopussy is the thirteenth Bond film and sixth Roger Moore film.  The title is taken from short story, but the story is original.  This movie has some pretty ridiculous scenes...a gorilla suit...a Tarzan yell...it's weird and got mixed reviews, but still not bad.  Expires on May 1st.

A View to a Kill (1985)

A View to a Kill is the fourteenth Bond film, and unfortunately the last Roger Moore film.  Christopher Walken plays the villain, which is about the only redeeming quality to the film.  Other than that, I guess the theme by Duran Duran was a big deal at the time.  The film itself was criticized  and even Roger Moore himself didn't like the film.  Worth watching just for Christopher Walken.  Expires on May 1st.

License to Kill (1989)

License to kill is the sixteenth Bond film, and second to star Timothy Dalton.  Also thankfully the last (sorry Dalton fans, never cared for him).  This is the first Bond film to not use a title of a Ian Fleming story.  This film is also the last film for Robert Brown, who portrayed M in five films.  Personally, I don't care for it much,  but its worth watching if you have the the time and Netflix.  Expires on May 1st.

Goldeneye (1995)

Goldeneye is the seventeenth James Bond film and the first with Pierce Brosnan.  The first film to not take story elements from Ian Fleming.  Much better than Timothy Dalton films, this movie was a huge financial success, not to mention the video game!  Expires May 1st.

Tomorrow Never Dies (1997)

The eighteenth Bond film and the second starring Pierce Brosnan.  Again, mixed reviews but it earned a Golden Globe nomination.  It was the only Pierce Brosnan film to not be #1 at the box office, but it opened against Titanic, so that should be expected.  Personally, I don't care for '90s Bond films, they are still great, but compared to older ones, they just aren't as good.  Expires on May 1st.

The World Is Not Enough (1999)

The World is Not Enough is the nineteenth Bond film and third Brosnan film.  The title is taken from a line in the novel "On Her Majesty's Secret Service".  This is the first Bond film to be officially released by MGM instead of United Artists.  As with all other Brosnan Bond films, it was a financial success.  Expires May 1st.

    2. No problem. It's my personal favorite one, so it was the first one I searched when I heard they were on Netflix.
